Keep Praying

Today was not a happy day at the Gerdau Facility.  We have or I should say had two fabrication facilities in the KC area.  Gerdau has decided to close the Independence Fabrication Shop.  Praise God, the shop guys get the oppturnity to keep their jobs by going to the KC shop.  Only one office person got let go.  As of now I still have a job, but I'm not sure what this winter will bring.  It was slow last winter and this year has been worse than last year.  I just would like people to pray for all of us at the Independence facility.  We are all on edge and a little nervous.

On a brighter note with a little laughter, when I picked up the boys Cody asked me if we are having a baby?  Why you askin' Cody?  Because I want one. I'm thinking one of his friends will be having a little brother or sister, but he's not telling me that.

Family Ties

Survived the weeked.  Had a nice little Family Reunion.  It was good to see everyone.  The boys had a blast and I think Grandma has more sand in her bathtub than what was at the park.  Ben busted his bottom lip.  Now the bottom matches the top.  I know Cody's favorite part was the water fight him and Dawson had with Uncle Eric. Grandpa and the dog got involved on that one!!  All in all it was fun.  The drive could have been better because of the construction on I-35.  The dogs did not run away and our house is still in tact.  The plants need a little water.

Feeling more like home.

It's been two weeks since we moved.  Mostly everything is unpacked with the exception of a few boxes.  The boys are enjoying the space and the little pool we bought them.  The dogs....well I think they are a little lost.  The back yard is so much bigger than the old house.  I'm not sure if they realize yet all the space they have.  They just like to stick around the back patio.  Bluto, does not do stairs well. It took him a week to use the stairs himself. We have a walk out basement and he is now going up and down them by himself but he will not use the stairs inside the house.

Ben has his first big owiee.  He was playing with a push car and the car moved a little to fast and SMACK!! face first into the floor.  He cut his upper lip open and it swelled up really nice.

Below you will see some pics of the new house.  Don't mind the mess we are still trying to figure out where to put everything.  Good thing I didn't take pics of the inside of the garage :)

Finally Home

We are officially in the new house. I'll post pics later.  We have almost completed a full week and the boys (and mom!)are loving it.  More space, espically outside with our acre lot.  Utility room is upstairs which I'm really liking.  The boys each have their own rooms and we have a skylight in the bathroom.  We are so much closer to everything.

Cody graduated Pre School like a pro.  Made me sad. For the month of June he is in Summer School.  He's enjoying so much.  Talks about it everyday.  he really enjoys that he gets Chocolate MIlk for lunch everyday.

Work is steady for both of us.  I'm a little on edge with my job.  Gerdau has had to shut down some locations.  I keep praying that we are not next.  IF we are, I want the house in KC sold first and the Jeep paid off (in September!!).
